It Begins
The Republican National Committee has released its first commercial for the 2004 Presidential campaign: as the Times says, "It shows Mr. Bush, during the last State of the Union address, warning of continued threats to the nation: 'Our war against terror is a contest of will, in which perseverance is power,' he says after the screen flashes the words, 'Some are now attacking the president for attacking the terrorists.'"

Update: Richard Cohen of the Post starts with the RNC ad and ends here: "I love my country and I love the truth and I always thought the best thing about being an American is that you don't have to choose. "
